Callie Lehman participated in a panel discussion at the Sagent Leadership Summit. Callie provided insight on emerging policy and advocacy priorities for mental and behavioral health, and how behavioral health providers can help move those priorities forward.
Courtney Jasper and Nancy Haas attended the 2026 Omnibus Pension Bill signing. This bill established a new pension plan for probation officers and 911 telecommunicators. This long‑awaited reform recognizes the critical, high‑stress work these frontline employees perform every day and ensures they have access to a more secure, sustainable retirement. The new plan reflects years of advocacy, collaboration, and commitment to supporting those who keep our communities safe, often in the most challenging moments. Congratulations Courtney and Nancy!

On October 16, 2025 Courtney Jasper represented government relations professionals as a panelist at an event hosted by the University of Minnesota Undergraduate Law Review, where she shared her perspective on the dynamic and rewarding nature of lobbying at the Minnesota Capitol with aspiring attorneys.
At the Minnesota Ambulatory Surgery Center Association Annual Conference on October 10, 2025, Tom Poul delivered a comprehensive update on the 2025 legislative session. His presentation outlined the session’s key developments and offered a forward-looking analysis of potential legislative and regulatory changes that could affect ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient healthcare in 2026.
September 29, 2025 Callie Lehman joined Poul Haas as a lobbyist. Most recently, Callie represented the Minnesota Judicial Branch at the State Capitol as its Intergovernmental Relations Liaison. In that role, she engaged stakeholders, built bipartisan support, and delivered clear, persuasive strategies on budget and policy matters. Her advocacy was recognized with two Judicial Branch Achievement Awards for producing results that were “superior and truly distinguished.”
On September 2, 2025 Madison Walker joined Poul Haas as a Legislative Coordinator. Prior to joining the Poul Haas team, she worked as a people and culture specialist, gaining experience that she now brings to her work in government relations. Madison is eager to support our clients and team in every way she can.

On June 1, 2025 Amy Walstien was selected by her peers to be the President of the Minnesota Governmental Relations Council (MGRC). MGRC serves government relations professionals by providing advocacy, professional development, netowrking and an enhanced working experience inside and outside the Capitol.
On May 28, 2025 Tony Albright was recognized by the Minnesota Competency Attainment Board for his efforts to ensure mental health needs are met, support services are expanding, and community safety is strengthened across the state of Minnesota.
On March 31, 2025 Minnesota Lawyer recognized Poul Haas as the Best-Up-and-Coming Law Firm.
